"I was a little disappointed with the hot water. I had to call and complain that our unit didn't have hot water and it was never repaired during our stay. The rental company did send a technician, but the issue was still not fixed. The carpet felt dirty upon arrival and the vacuum in the unit was broken, which made it difficult to clean while we were there.

"Our stay at Caravelle Resort in Myrtle Beach South Carolina was everything thing that we wished for we had a beautiful view of the ocean that we woke up to every morning. The property was kept up. Ocean Breeze property management were excellent, anytime we needed something done they were there the same day you called. The maintenance and grounds keepers were constant and consistent. The swimming pools and hot tub were always clean. I have absolutely nothing but praise for this vacation. The office staff were always cheerful and helpful also.

Dream vacation

"This is a charming little one bedroom condo. It's description is exactly like it is described. At first I thought instead of an ocean view we should have gotten an ocean front but I found out that the ocean view is better because you get the sun all afternoon and that is nice for the time of the year that we are staying. Oct-Feb. We love it.

"A couple downfalls, they do not supply toilet paper. And all the linens including bedding sheets were not put on the beds. All hotels have these in place why can't the property do the same ?

"Basically my toilet backed up the first and second day. The customer service people were rude and told me that bc they got a plumber they went above and beyond and I couldn’t speak to a manager. I had no towels the entire stay bc I used them for the over flow of the toilet. The laundry room didn’t give change bc the machine was broken. You do the math. Horrible trip!

"The room was clean and matched the pictures exactly! The balcony overlooks the pool, but there is a nice view of the ocean as well as the street. There was plenty of room for 2 adults and a child and we could have fit 2 more adults in the room as well.

"We have stayed in this unit several times in the past. No complaints. The Caravelle is located in a less busy part of the beach which is what we wanted. It is close to all the entertainment areas and restaurants. We would highly recommend this unit.

Summer 2019 family vacation review 2 adults and 3 children

"Condo is good, clean and family friendly.
I just had to remove the rug out of the washroom to the balcony as it smelled like pee.
Me and my husband travelled with 3 kids (ages 7, 5 and 2).
My kids loved the pools. Kids spent hours playing in the water. Location is good.
Pools are cleaned on a daily basis and there is a lot of staff.
The resort has entertainment some days / nights.
Cons about the building is the smell of garbage near the elevator.
The pool snack bar Staff tends to be always late to open up at 12 Pm.
Other than that we had a wonderful family vacation with fantastic weather!

"We stayed in this unit the week of July 6th-13th. It was just like the pictures. Updated and clean. Beautiful view! The outside of the resort was a little dated, but that to be expected on the water. The only complaint I have is that the comforters on the 2 beds where dirty. I understand they don't wash them every time but there was food and make up stains on them and I was not comfortable sleeing with them so I folded them down. They did leave 2 blankets in the closet, but we used the Murphy bed too, so we where a blanket short. One of us had to sleep with just a sheet. It would be nice if they left enough blankets for all the beds. Next time I will just request that they leave 3 extra clean blankets. I think a lot of people get this confused with it being a part of the the hotel. This is a privatly owned condo, so there is no affiliation with the hotel. You can't call and request new sheets or towels or an extra blanket. We understood that when we booked it, but I don't think a lot of people do. I just see a few complaints about that, so I wanted to put it out there. We just went down and washed stuff as needed. Overall it was a beautiful unit and we would definitely stay here again.

I'm sorry that someone in your family had to sleep with just a sheet, if you arrive and notice that the comforters was dirty we would have come and got them to be cleaned and we could have brought you some spares so that you and your family could sleep comfortable. Yes we are privately owned and don't do daily housekeeping but when you check in , if there is a housekeeping issue we ask that you let us know and we will send housekeeping back out to check on these things and correct them for our guest. Other than these little hiccups I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and everything was clean and updated. The view is the best part, walking out on the patio and just soaking in that amazing sunrise. We love to hear that you will come and stay with us again. hope you and your family had safe travels back home and cant wait to see you on your next trip to the beach :)

Nice condo but small

"The condo was nice, it is smaller then the pictures lead you to believe. The property management company was great with all my needs before and during the stay especially Michelle with Ocean Breeze. The house keeper left extra beach towels which came in very handy. The elevators in the building are very slow at times but that is no fault of the property management company. Overall we were very pleased with the condo and will be booking again.

Beach Vacation 2019

"The facility was nice and we loved having a pool on the same floor as our room as well and the huge balcony. The issues that we had were not having enough towels in the room we had 5 towels maybe and we were there for 7 days and never got clean towels at all and we had 4 people in the room. Another issue was we were told to take our own trash out and that’s fine but they never told us where to take the trash. The staff was completely rude every time we had contact with them. There was never any hot water at all to take showers. We literally were having to take cold showers. The day we arrived and went up to our room it was extremely hot due to the air not being turned on at ether of the units. Another thing is in the listing for this room it tells you what extras are provided in the room such as beach chairs and umbrella, beach towels, videos and games NONE of these items were found at all in the room. Over all the facility was nice and clean as well as the unit. And the Murphy bed is bed is more comfortable then the other two beds. We would probably stay at this facility again but not this room!! I was not satisfied at all during my stay.

Family Beach Trip

"I had some initial issues with confirming my reservation with the property management company. After that was worked out, we were excited for our first trip to Myrtle. We asked to arrive 1 hours earlier, which was allowed. The room has a convenient key pad to lock/unlock your room. The room looks like the pictures, which was nice, however, the lighting is very dark and opening the front curtains means everyone walking by has a front row show to your bedroom. It appeared that the room had been lightly cleaned. There was a lot of dust build up on the bathroom fan and the night stand and lamp were sandy and dusty. Floors looked a little sandy but we are at the beach. The kitchen is stocked with all the things you need to cook, which was nice. However, I forgot to bring or purchase seasoning for cooking. The room also had plenty of bath towels. The resort itself is not well kept. The bricks at the pool are coming up in multiple places. Our stay was the last week of summer so it wasn't too busy. However, you wouldn't know it by the lack of pool chairs. In the morning, people come down from their rooms and leave their towels on the chairs all day, so there is no place to sit or put your stuff. There are only 2 elevators for all 15 floors, so take the stairs when you can but beware, it doesn't smell very good. The parking garage is tight and there may be times you will have to park across the street. Overall, the location was good, the room was fine but the property needs some updating.

"We were very pleased with the esthetics inside this unit! The decorating is beautiful, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the storage was well planned out for such a small space. The unit itself was tighter than we had imagined from the photos with four adults and two little ones sharing, but we made it work. The walk in closet has doors that connect to both the common area (where the murphy bed is) and the bedroom which was very convenient to be able to use the bathroom when someone was sleeping in their room. The balcony is spacious with a great partial view of the beach/ocean, and straight down to the pool. The resort itself is dated and many areas were not up to our standards of cleanliness and being maintained. The beach though was very nice, and there are spaces to shower off the sand from your feet and body as well. Our son loved the Italian ice cart on the way to the beach! In the description of the unit we read that there were beach chairs, an umbrella and games within the unit for us to use, and later in the description that there were also beach chairs on the resort premise for guests to use. The beach chairs on the 7th floor were present, but the items in the unit were not. We had quick communication with the unit owners who shared that there were none of those items for use in the unit, and apologized for any misconceptions. This may be something helpful to future guests for planning as beach chairs are something to pack or pick up when shopping, and are very useful! Overall we felt the unit was very nice, clean and up to date. The resort itself was a let down though, not maintained very well, and somewhere we would probably not visit again. We would recommend the unit, but probably not the resort.
